The SMRC Seniors & Carers Lunch 2025 brought together more than 70 community members for an afternoon of dancing, laughter and meaningful connection. Hosted by SMRC’s Diverse Care team, the event honoured the vital contributions of seniors and carers across our community.
SMRC is introducing a free In-Home Respite Program to help carers maintain their wellbeing while continuing in their caring role. This government-funded initiative offers flexible, culturally sensitive support delivered in the comfort of home.

SMRC is preparing for the new Aged Care Act, coming into effect on 1 November 2025. While the reforms bring a stronger rights-based approach and higher provider standards, SMRC is committed to adapting its services to continue supporting our community.
