Diverse Care™ delivers culturally appropriate in-home care services for older-age people, and people with a disability.
Diverse Care™ is SMRC’s multicultural labour hire service for approved providers of Aged Care and Disability Services across southern and eastern Melbourne, with a workforce that consists of over 120 bilingual staff covering more than 55 languages.
Older people and their families greatly value having care workers who speak their language and understand their cultural requirements. By employing multilingual workers, it allows us to match our provided care services to our clients cultural and communication needs.
Our services include Personal Care, which covers showering, sponge baths, dressing, grooming, and assistance going to the toilet; Domestic Care, such as house cleaning, meal preparation, or shopping assistance; Respite Care which includes companionship, supervision, monitoring, prompting medication usage (where required) when principal carer is away, socialisation, capacity building; and Personal Escort for personal transportation needs.
For over 20 years, Diverse Care™ has assisted the needs of frail or older-age people, and people with a disability by providing trained home and community care workers. Our Diverse Care™ workers are all qualified with a minimum of Cert III in Aged Care, Certificate in Individual Support or Home and Community Care.
