Access Point & Settlement Casework
SMRC’s Access Point & Settlement Casework Program offers culturally appropriate, one-on-one support to help eligible individuals navigate social services and access essential resources.
About the program
Our experienced caseworkers provide assistance with:
- Completing forms: Guidance in filling out various applications
- Information provision: Offering relevant details about available services
- Advocacy: Assisting with issues related to bills and housing
- Navigating social services: Helping clients understand and access Services Australia, Centrelink, and other agencies
- Referrals: Connecting clients to additional support services as needed
This service is designed to assist newly arrived families and individuals in successfully settling into their new communities. Our program specializes in working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. If our caseworkers do not speak your language, an interpreter will be provided.
Who is eligible?
The program is available to individuals holding eligible visa subclasses under the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program. An up-to-date list of permanent and temporary eligible visas can be found here.
