Celebrating HIPPY Graduations and Milestones

25 November 2024

SMRC’s Home Interaction for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) program celebrated exciting milestones for our Age 3 and 4 children and their families.

After two years of engaging in weekly sessions with dedicated HIPPY tutors, exploring play-based activities, and reading stacks of books, the Age 4 group marked their graduation. These young learners are now confident, prepared, and excited to begin prep in 2025.

The Age 3 group also celebrated completing their first year in the program. Parents and children reflected on how HIPPY fosters a supportive community while nurturing a love of learning. One parent, Vanja, shared her experience:
“HIPPY program helped me to strengthen my bond with my child and explore different ways to connect. I think HIPPY is a very good program for many parents, especially for newcomers and immigrant parents.”

SMRC proudly congratulates the 23 children who graduated from HIPPY and thanks all families for their commitment and enthusiasm. We look forward to supporting our Age 3 families in the year ahead.
