Coordinator – Aged Care Volunteer Program
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join SMRC and lead our Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) and Social Support Individual (SSI) services. This role is focused on supporting socially isolated individuals aged 65 and over by connecting them with dedicated volunteers. You’ll manage programs funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Packages (HCP) to ensure smooth transitions from entry-level care to more intensive support, including Residential Care, while delivering high-quality services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with volunteers, communities, and service providers to foster meaningful connections that enhance both volunteer participation and consumer wellbeing.
- Overseeing volunteer recruitment, training, and onboarding.
- Developing innovative, community-driven programs with a focus on CALD communities.
- Ensuring service delivery aligns with current health guidelines and regulatory standards, especially during emergency situations, such as COVID-19.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work, Welfare, or other related discipline
- Relevant demonstrated experience in Aged Care and Carer support
