After the loss of his wife, Ahmed became isolated and withdrawn. Through SMRC’s Support for Carers and the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, he found companionship.

In this interview, Vimonh shares her passion for driving the SMRC bus and connecting elderly clients with our programs and services.

Sharon, now a Case Manager with SMRC’s Diverse Care Team, first joined SMRC more than ten years ago. After returning in 2024, she continues to support migrants and refugees as they build new lives in the community.

The Hive Program is a social support program designed for seniors, providing the opportunity to come together, enjoy healthy and nutritious meals, engage in physical exercise, and of course, participate in gardening!
