The Hive Program is a social support program designed for seniors, providing the opportunity to come together, enjoy healthy and nutritious meals, engage in physical exercise, and of course, participate in gardening!
Zohra came to Australia just under a year ago. With support from SMRC’s driving program, she overcame fear, gained her licence, and found the freedom to move forward independently.
After fleeing Afghanistan, Mina arrived in Melbourne with a dream many take for granted: to learn how to drive. With support from SMRC, she’s now steering her life in a new direction, gaining freedom and confidence on the road.
Arzo arrived in Australia in her final year of high school, facing language barriers and cultural change. With SMRC’s support, she built confidence, excelled in her studies, and is now pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor.
Perla has been part of the SMRC family for 29 years, growing from a volunteer into a leader in community care. Her story is one of resilience, loyalty and heart.
