STAR Homework Club

SMRC’s STAR Homework Club helps secondary school and TAFE students in the City of Greater Dandenong and City of Casey stay engaged in their education. The program provides homework support, career advice, and social connection, helping students build confidence and succeed in their studies.

About the STAR Homework Club

The STAR Club offers a safe and supportive space where students can:

  • Get help with homework and assignments
  • Receive career guidance, including resume building and university or TAFE applications
  • Develop study skills and time management strategies
  • Maintain a healthy school/life balance
  • Access social and emotional support

Our volunteer tutors have expertise across all high school subjects and provide personalised guidance to help students succeed.

Looking to build your leadership skills and get involved in the community? Join SMRC’s Youth Advisory Group!

Testimonials

Tutor’s are great at explaining

They’re not giving you answers. They’re showing you how you do it, so next time you won’t be stuck on the same question. They’re so helpful that when I go to school I show off to my friend, ‘this is how you do it the easy way’ and they’re like that’s amazing and my friend gets impressed by it. I was a bit behind on Maths but after I came here, I started catching up. My last test I got was 87, such a difference.
