Family Support Program
SMRC’s family support program offers intensive assistance to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families facing challenges in parent-child relationships.
About the Family Support Program
Over a period of three to six months, our program connects families to community supports, including:
- Casework: Personalized assistance to address specific family needs
- Parenting support: Guidance on effective parenting strategies in the Australian context
- Support referrals: Linking families to relevant community services
- Advocacy: Assisting families in accessing necessary resources and services
Our goal is to equip families with practical skills to enhance communication and strengthen interpersonal connections.
Program process
- Initial contact: A family support worker will reach out to arrange a meeting at your home or our office.
- Assessment: We conduct a comprehensive evaluation to understand your family’s needs.
- Personalized plan: Together, we develop a tailored plan to support your family’s well-being.
