Citizenship Classes

The citizenship program supports those who are looking to prepare for their citizenship test by learning about the Australian government, law and society.

The 12-week citizenship program is run every term to support people with preparing for their citizenship test and overall settlement journey. During the program, we cover topics such as:

  • Australia and its people
  • Australia’s democratic beliefs, rights, and liberties
  • Government and the law in Australia
  • Australian Values

Participants will be prepared for the citizenship tests by practicing and revisions in the class.

  • Monday from 11am – 1:30pm at Bunjil Place Library, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren

English for Citizenship

Learn about Australia and practice towards your Citizenship test. Gain understanding about the language behind the terminology.

  • Thursday from 12-2pm at Doveton College, 62 Tristania St, Doveton VIC 3177

Eligibility: Humanitarian and Refugee Entrants and Partner and Family permanent visa holders.

The citizenship program is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Social Services under the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) Program.
