Strategy & Programs Sub-Committee Member – Voluntary

The Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre (SMRC) are seeking skilled and committed individuals to join its Strategy & Programs Sub-Committee. SMRC is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 and is dedicated to facilitating and coordinating services for newly arrived and established migrant, refugee, and asylum seeker communities. Governed by an elected Board of Directors, SMRC is also a registered charitable organisation. SMRC Directors serve as volunteers in an honorary capacity. The Board is responsible for ensuring good governance, including financial accountability, legal compliance, risk management, and privacy obligations. The Board meets quarterly, and Directors are expected to prepare for, actively participate in meetings, and contribute to Committee work as required.
