Good health and wellbeing celebrated at Be Well Stay Well Festival
It’s always wonderful when we get to collaborate with other community groups and ignite magic for our clients, such was case at the Be Well Stay Well Festival!
In early June at the beautiful Noble Park Community Centre, SMRC and Enliven participated in the Be Well Stay Well Festival, an initiative by Multicultural Community Engagement Network with health and wellbeing activities for our community. There was line dancing, Spanish singers, Petanque games, Tai Chi with our very own Social Support Groups Coordinator Margaret, free coffee and yummy food, and a host of stalls all centered around healthy living.
SMRC had our famous Smoothie Bike up and running which was a wonderful success to get people moving! The Hive team displayed the benefits of gardening for mind and body, and provided free mini pots of parsley, lemon balm, kale and cauliflower to those keen to start a garden at home.
Many of our SMRC clients were there and enjoyed the day, jumping on the smoothie bike, boot scooting along to the line dancing instruction or moving with Tai Chi.
