As Melbourne’s workforce continues to evolve, businesses are increasingly seeking meaningful ways to address skills shortages, strengthen workforce resilience, and create more inclusive and representative workplaces.

The discussion will be led by our panel which includes speakers with academic expertise, professional experience, and lived experience.

Key discussions will focus on:

• Practical hiring alternatives and skills-based recruitment
• Addressing barriers faced by highly skilled migrants
• Workforce trends businesses should prepare for
• Building workplaces that reflect the diversity of the communities they are in

This free event aims to bring together organisations and businesses to explore common challenges, address misconceptions surrounding migrants and refugees, and encourage meaningful, solution-focused discussions that identify practical opportunities and collaborative responses to current issues. A key focus is to advocate for the value that migrants and refugees bring to workplaces and communities, businesses, and organisations as part of the solution in building a more resilient and inclusive Australia.

 

Following the discussions, attendees will participate in a networking lunch and valuable opportunities to engage directly with decision-makers, sector leaders, and community stakeholders.
