RAFFLE TERMS & CONDITIONS

RAFFLE NAME – Unity in Diversity Festival Raffle 2023
PROMOTER – Southern Migrant & Refugee Centre Ltd (SMRC)
RAFFLE PERIOD – raffle starts 9am 11/9/2023 – finishes 2pm 22/10/2023
ENTRY RESTRICTIONS – Entry is open to residents 18 years or over

RAFFLE ENTRY PROCEDURE – There will be two ways to enter. Entrants can during the raffle period, 1) Visit the Website and purchase a single ticket for the Raffle valued at $10.00 each, including all details requested. An additional service fee $0.50 per ticket is added to the price of $10.00. 500 tickets available. 2) Purchase a Raffle ticket directly from the Promoter, valued at $10.00 per ticket. 800 tickets available.

ENTRY CONDITIONS
Staff and immediate family members of these people are eligible to enter.
Entries must be submitted in accordance with the Entry Procedure and will not be accepted in any other form. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for late, lost, misdirected, ineligible or illegible/inaudible entries (including lost, stolen, forged, defaced or damaged proof of entry or things required by the Verification Requirements). Ineligible entries will be deemed to be invalid.
It is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter if their contact details change during the Raffle Period.
The Promoter will not accept entries which are incomplete, illegible, or which are generated by computers or other automated means.
Where an entry is deemed invalid (at the Promoter’s absolute discretion) prior to the Prize Claim Date, the Promoter may determine a new winner in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Arrangements.
Entry details and privacy by entering into the Competition, the entrants agree and acknowledge that they will be required to provide certain personal information about them, including but not limited to their full names, addresses, contact numbers and emails.
All entries and the content contained in those entries become the property of the Promoter. Once submitted, no changes to or withdrawal of an entry will be permitted. Entries will not be returned by the Promoter.
Entries must be received by the Promoter and will be deemed to have been received at the time of receipt (either by auto generated or ticket stub) by the Promoter.

VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
If requested by the Promoter, entrants must produce documentation to establish to the Promoter’s satisfaction the validity of your entries (including proof of identity, age, place of employment and place of residence) prior to being awarded a Prize.
Prize winner must provide satisfactory (photo) proof of identity and proof of nominated residential address.

DRAW DETAILS
The Draw will take place at 2pm AEST on Sunday, 22 October 2023 at 39 Clow St, Dandenong, VIC 3175. You do not need to be present to be eligible to win.

DRAW METHOD
One raffle ticket is one entry to the prize draw. All online raffle tickets and paper based raffle tickets received by the Promoter will be randomly drawn by hand in front of witnesses from the Promoter. Each single ticket purchases are entered into the draw to win either First to Twentieth. First Prize will be drawn first, followed by the Second Prize, followed by the Third Prize and so on. Winning Single Tickets will not be returned to the pool of entries after being drawn as a Winner.

PRIZE CLAIM
The Promoter will contact the winners, who will have one month to claim their prize ie: 24/11/2023
Prizes not claimed by the claim date is deemed invalid in accordance with the Conditions of Entry, the Promoter reserves the right to sell that Prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter.

ADDITIONAL TERMS
The Prize draw(s) will be conducted in accordance with the Draw Details. If a winning entry is invalid, that entry will be disregarded and the Prize will be awarded by drawing the next valid entry in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.
The Prizes and/or parts of the Prize(s) is/are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. No Compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use or take a prize. If a Prize, or an element of a Prize, is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another prize of equal or greater value for that Prize, or element of it. The Promoter and its representatives will not be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of Prizes.
All costs, fees, charges or expenses associated with the Prize(s), which are not specified in the Schedule, are the responsibility of the winner(s). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in Prize values.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning of the Prizes. Independent financial advice should be sought.
The Promoter, and prize suppliers associated with this Raffle will not be liable for any loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained (including without limitation to that caused by any person’s negligence) relating to this Raffle or the awarding or taking of the Prizes except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case liability is limited to the minimum amount allowable by law).
The Promoter, is not responsible for use of a Prize which results in:
(a) loss that was not reasonably foreseeable;
(b) loss that was not caused by breach of these Conditions of Entry or negligence;
(c) business losses (such as lost data, lost profits or business interruptions) or loss suffered by non-consumers;
(d) losses caused by factors which could reasonably be considered to be outside their control (such as faults in third party equipment); and
(e) any loss caused, or contributed to, by an entrant’s breach of these Conditions of Entry or an entrant’s negligence.

ADDITIONAL TERMS – PRIVACY
By purchasing a ticket you agree to receive information about the Event by email from the Event Organiser.
The Promoter may use any personal information entrants provide in connection with this Raffle for the purpose of the Raffle, and also in advertisements, publications, media statements and other promotional material associated with the Raffle. The Promoter may disclose the information for those purposes to its related bodies corporate and contractors. If entrants do not provide the information requested, they will not be able to enter the Raffle. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If entrants have any concerns or queries about the way their personal information is managed by the Promoter, they should contact the Promoter by telephoning (03) 9767 1900 or emailing communications@smrc.org.au. A copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy can be viewed at https://smrc.org.au/privacy-policy/ .The privacy policy contains information about how entrants can gain access to or seek correction of personal information that the Promoter holds about them. It also contains information about how entrants can make a privacy complaint and how the Promoter will deal with it.

The Promoter’s decisions in connection with the Raffle are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
