New Board Elected for SMRC

SMRC is please to advise following the AGM held on October 22nd, that a new Board has been elected following Brian Oates standing down as Chair, to take on role as acting CEO following the resignation of Ramesh Kumar.

The AGM opened with an introduction to two of SMRC key programs, Dance Up! Australia and SETS Youth STAR Club. Virtual guests were then treated to cultural dance displays from the Vietnamese and Bollywood instructors of Dance Up! Australia.

Shadow Spokesperson of Multicultural Affairs, Mr Andrew Giles gave an inspiring presentation, which was followed by Chair, Brian Oates, who then declared there was 4 Board role openings and only 4 nominations received, therefore requiring no elections.

Ms Helen Horvath presented the Treasurers report and the appointment of Auditors for 2020-2021.

The meeting concluded with the announcement of the newly elected Board:
