A time to shine – 2018 Ethnic Seniors Leadership Forum

Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre (SMRC) is thrilled to be hosting the 2018 Ethnic Seniors Leadership Forum, where local community groups leaders will be recognised for their contribution in making stronger communities.
Attendees will be presented with an award certificate for their services to the community and the opportunity to enjoy capacity building workshops on the changes in aged care including:

  • Accessing Aged Care Services through My Aged
  • Care Centre
  • link Power of Attorneys
  • Community Legal Assistance

In its fifth year, the Ethnic Seniors Leadership Forum will be attended by special guests from Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria (ECCV) and Councilors from City of Greater Dandenong.
The event will feature pop up stalls represented by City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey, YMCA, Centrelink, Office of Public Advocate, Monash Health, Peninsula Legal Community Centre, Housing for the Aged Action Group and ECCV.
The event will conclude with a world food fare luncheon and entertainment by the Cook Islander Seniors Group.

The 2018 Ethnic Seniors Leadership Forum, will take place Lynbrook Community Centre, Tuesday 26th June, from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm.
