School Holiday Activities
In addition to our STAR Club homework support group, SMRC offers a school holidays activities program.

This program may include a range of activities such as;

    • Travelling to the zoo
    • Ice Skating
    • Sports participation
    • and more!

The School Holiday Program is part of our Settlement Program, which aims to increase capacity, connection and participation in the community and also provides services to humanitarian entrants, and other young people on eligible visas within their first 5 years of settlement in Australia.

STAR Club activities are free to participate, and take place 3 afternoons per week, taking place at 3.45 – 5.45pm, Monday to Thursday during active school terms.

Our volunteers have a police check, a Working with Children check, and receive on-going training opportunities and support. This program is funded through Department of Social Services through the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support program.
