Senior Manager Aged Care and Carer Support


The Senior Manager Aged Care and Carer Services is responsible for providing the strategic direction and leadership to the Health & Wellbeing team, ensuring the best outcome for clients and their families whilst meeting the strategic and operations objectives of SMRC. The role is a key part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and works closely with the CEO and other stakeholders (both internal and external) to continuously improve the services being delivered within the aged care, migrant and refugee sectors.

You will be a qualified Social Worker with membership of AASW (or eligibility) and a post-graduate qualification in management/business administration is highly desirable.

  • Understanding/experience in Aged Care.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field of practice to SMRC.
  • Responsible for driving growth of the Health and Wellbeing team through identifying opportunities, either through government funded programs, commercial fee-for-service opportunities and/or partnerships.
  • Manage service agreements with relevant commonwealth, state, and local government departments, and lead in the development and delivery of Home Care Packages, aged care, and other relevant health services.
  • Lead in future proofing the organisation within the aged care service sector and be part of the leadership team in ensuring the organisation is recognised as a leader of CALD services.

This position is full time fixed term to 30 June 2027. Salary packaging available.
