Homework Support Program

Our Homework Support Program (STAR Club) supports secondary school students to remain engaged at school by providing assistance with their homework by volunteer tutors as well as encouraging students to maintain a healthy school/life balance.

We provide assistance with study skills, time management and links to local community services. The program is offered 3 afternoons per week 3.30 – 6pm Monday to Wednesday during school terms. All our volunteer tutors have a police check and a Working with Children check as well as receiving on-going training opportunities and support.

This program is part of our Settlement program which aim to increase capacity, connection and participation in the community.  We provide services to humanitarian entrants and other migrants on eligible visas during their first 5 years of settlement in Australia. This program is funded through Department of Social Services through the Settlement Services Program.
