In fact\, the probability of two people coming from different birthplaces is 78 per cent. The latest census data shows the City of Greater Dandenong welcomes an average of 2700 newly-arrived people each year and has residents from 157 different birthplaces and more than half of our residents are born overseas. \nThese statistics offer both opportunities and challenges for employment in the area\, and is the reason for focusing on diversity in employment at this years SMRC Open Day. \nHear from prominent industry experts including a local business owner\, President of Dandenong Chambers of Commerce\, an employer of large manufacturing business and an employment expert. \nEnjoy workshops and speak to employment pop ups in our interactive afternoon. \nFurther details to be announced in the new year. \n
